Inter loses force

Less than a week after winning the Copa Libertadores, Internacional lost two other players to Europe. After Tinga and Bolivar had already announced they were leaving the team, Rafael Sobis and Jorge Wagner confirmed they had accepted offers from teams in Spain. Sobis will likely go to Valencia, while Wagner's destination is Betis. Sobis scored twice in the first leg of the continental competition's final, helping his team defeat Sao Paulo 2-1 in that match for a 4-3 aggregate win. Sao Paulo also lost important players, with Ricardo Oliveira's loan from Betis finishing and Diego Lugano going to Turkey's Fenerbahce.
