Mascherano also leaves Corinthians

After Carlos Tevez went AWOL last week leaving Corinthians and showing up later in Buenos Aires, another Argentine player from the Brazilian defending champions did not show up for a training session at the team. This morning, Javier Mascherano was not seen at the club, and according to coach Emerson Leao, gave no explanation about his whereabouts. Leao said he considers both players to have finished their playing time at Corinthians, helping to fuel rumours about their imminent transfer to Europe, probably to play in the English Premiership with either Chelsea or Arsenal. Corinthians president Alberto Dualib is currently in London discussing issues with the team's main investment partnet, MSI, and is believed to be interested in deciding the fate of his Argentine players before the European transfer window closes, in two days.
